Thinking about remapping to stage 1, can anyone who has remapped one tell me if it makes a big difference? Have you had any issues?

When chipped by pro's like APR you will get around 350 ps and 450 Nm.
Guess you will feel the difference.
Here is a video of a stage 2 that has 50 ps more than stage 1 with big downpipe, racekat and full miltek exhaust:

How much is the APR? Reasons for going down the Superchips route is its £420 and you can put it back to stock when you like. Have you had any problems with the clutch since the remap?

Nope as I have DSG with DSG software.
The APR Software is alot more expensive.. but your getting something that has had tonnes of R&D done on it including lots of track time etc. against something that.. well hasn't.
Don't be fooled by the "you can flash it yourself when you want to put it back to stock" chances are your alot more likely to get a TD1 code flash up at dealers when you have flashed it yourself.

Thanks. How much should I expect to pay for remap and dsg software? Would I need the dsg software update for stage 1?
From what I read APR stage 1 is about 750 GBP incl. tax.
No need for updating the DSG with stage 1 because the DSG DQ250 can manage from factory 450 NM just ask APR not to go above that.
When you want torque more than 450NM APR can increase the clutch pressure for safe operation.

When testing the car on a running road to check their adjustemnts they should be able to.
Only professional tuners with these abilities are capable of that.
