• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
I live in Romania. I have an S7 edge and my Cupra is due in about 3 weeks. I've ordered the Media Plus system with full link/mirrorlink option. Which of these services will I be able to use? Does anyone have any useful reviews?

Buna!

With Samsung you can either use Mirrorlink or Android Auto

I've just called my dealer, and although I bought my Leon with the tech pack, convenience pack and Dab radio, you have to pay an extra £199 to upgrade the Mirror link. Because I noticed I can't seem to connect anything to the car, apart from Bluetooth.

Haha! Salut, multumesc :)
Question actually was what to do in order to make for example Android Auto work, as Google doesn't offer support for my region.

tech pack had full link/mirror link options included? Is it possible to have full link and mirror link separately?

Hi, actually it's not a big problem to hide your real location using some tunnelling program, like "TunnelBear VPN". Then you can install android auto even in country that is not supported.

Thanks for the tip. Tried it. Still says "not supported in your region/location". Maybe I'm doing smthing wrong?

Just search for "Android Auto APK" on Google. This will allow you to download the actual app file itself from somewhere other than the Play Store. Obviosuly be careful about where you download it from. Once its downloaded, hit install and allow "Unknown Sources" when prompted to by the phone. The app will then install and work. You wont be able to update it through the Play store so you'll have to keep downloading APK's to keep up to date.

I've been using my OnePlus 3 on my 2016 Leon FR using Android Auto and it has been hit and miss. It usually detects and connects first time but I often completely drop out of Android Auto. I know that AA will not work without a data connection and I have been having network issues with Three Mobile(ireland) for a while now so i'm putting the blame on that. Gonna switch to a more reliable network here and see if that helps with the connection stability. Nothing worse than losing Google Maps mid-drive through a city you dont know![:@]

It uses your phone to replicate most of your Google services onto the screen ie maps and music.

If you are a heavy user of their services you will enjoy it.

Has anyone with CarPlay tried with iOS 10 (beta). Is the instrument display supported as per the new iOS feature?
