They didn't want to charge me anything but I gave £20 any ways I case I'd ever need it again. i wanted to see to if the DTUK box left any traces (it didn't) and got them to fettle a few things while VCDS was plugged in. Just make sure to have the VCDS guide at hand on this so they know what settings to put in.

No how do you do it?
Buy the pro version, download the app to a smartphone and you can use preconfigured apps to enable the services/tweaks you want or if you know what you're doing edit the programming. It's a nice bit of kit which I have and used to enable various features and check for error codes.

Ricky -

The OBD eleven app is free to download and connects via bluetooth to the OBD device which plugs into your obd port, under the drivers steering wheel area, device is £46.99p on ebay.

Much cheaper than the VCDS approx £270, and as far as I can tell able to do the same mods etc.

ODB eleven Seat Leon page ( English version Fifth post down page ).

I have bought OBD eleven Pro and have made some changes to my current Skoda, using the apps with the device. I'm still a little nervous about changing coding but I'm sure this device will allow it.

There is only one VCDS!

it will cost you about £270

there is a few vendors in the UK

buying cheap is just a clone and not worth it IMO

I thought this too, but after the latest up date I'm not so sure,at least for the mk3 leon and you can't revert back to the older software version so it's very hard to do stuff like rain close or mirror fold on lock etc

thats a firmware update for the hex-can interface which then wont work with older software

if you have a genuine lead running the latest software you should be able to do everything thats always been available

the warning that pops up is telling you that when you update the firmware you can only use 16.8 and above software

Yes you still can,but the issue is the latest version displays the factory identifiers instead of arbitrary location numbers(which the old version had), so you just end up with hundreds of items in German, and no channel numbers, which makes sadly makes most of the excellent guides on here useless, unless your fluent in German or have lots of time on your hands as the lists arnt even in the same order as the channel numbers on here in the vcds how to guides
