Build week for new Cupra 290's

Easily done.

I'm gutted for everyone experiencing delays and cancellations. I don't know how far ahead of build week the shells are painted but I would hope that if they can't give you your choice they at least offer you another colour.

Looks like I'm one of the lucky ones as I originally ordered Alor blue 5d manual at the end of august. It has now changed to red And they've offered me a couple of extras - front assist and adaptive cruise control.

Been told today that it has been built and is in transit from the factory. Not sure how long it will take but Im so relieved cus my 9yo focus is not in the best shape!!!

I checked again on mine and it's still at Emden awaiting being put on a ship. They did say the next one was leaving tomorrow with next Friday for the following one.

Had a quick email from my dealer who said everything is still on track for December delivery. Not much else but at least the order is still on.

When roughly did you order? I was end of July and been told my dynamic grey is still on track for mid December

My order was confirmed first week in August, though my initial colour of Dynamic Grey was changed a few weeks back to Nevada White, the initial contact my dealer had stated everything was fine but he rang back to double check and was told the order had changed to white.

I ordered 290 Black Edition 5dr DSG with ACC, everything else as per the normal Black Edition complement.

So I've just been told that my Dynamic Grey may have been swapped to Nevada White....
Dealer was meant to call me back in 10 mins to confirm 2 days ago. Now cannot even get through to dealer on phone!!
My last FR was Nevada.... was looking forward to a change.

I've cancelled my order. Fed up of waiting, sold my car and needed a set of wheels.

Secured a unregistered, sitting in stock 435d coupe instead, pick her up next week.

Faster than the Cupra and with 4wd too! IIRC they miss out on the M sport suspension though.

I've never ordered a brand new car before. How does that work with cancelling. Can you cancel without any reason or does it depend on if your order is delayed etc? I'm guessing you would have a deposit to refund? Sorry it's probably obvious to some - I've only ever bought used!

I didn't do, my friend Ed who owns the detailing company Divine Detail did it for me.
He is one man that can polish and turd, roll it in glitter and give it a ceramic coating...
