The milltek downpipe with decat is considerably cheaper than the sports cat, so what I want to know is how difficult is it to change the cat back over when it comes to MOT time?? Or am I just better off saving more money and getting a sports cat?

If you are putting yourself in the position of running a car that must have a cat, without a cat until MOT time then you are not being very clever as in the event of a roadside check, you will be screwed, and these checks do happen. If I were you, I'd give that idea a miss and fit a sports cat, just one worry less when driving around?

I know exactly what you mean! But what confuses me the most of how so many people do actually get away with it!

I know quite a few people with Decat on there cars who get away with it all the time.

All it is is they have a back box put in just to silence it that tiny bit and then if they get pulled they look and see the box and then say oh ok! The amount of time me and friends have been pulled over to have their exhaust checked is unreal but they always get away with it.

They also know a guy in a mot garage who MOT's thier car's and gives them emissions certs for things like 1.4 clios lol

It went for either decat or sports cat is it possible to run them with out a remap? Or is that not a good idea??
