Most important thing that everyone else appears to have missed? This fantastic forum full of helpful people (mainly) useful information (mostly) and banter (always) .
I've no doubt there is a Honda forum , but I suspect it will be full of either 12 year olds with hats on backwards and trousers round their ar5e or people who smell of pi55 and mothballs. Either way it won't be as good as this one.
A word of caution. If you are a closet ecomentalist vegetablist who is interested in hyper liking and mpg threads , buy the Honda and leave us in petrol soaked peace :D

I'd maybe suggest, that it depends on your age, Leon if you are young enough, Civic if you are collecting a pension!

It's a bit ironic that Civics appeal to both ends of the "motoring ages" - I suppose it is down to reliability - but no soul! I remember seeing an old Civic getting thrashed in Belgium, it had a banner on the rear window that said "MORON" ??

Age is just a number imho. I am 70 and love thrashing my Leon ( when swmbo is not looking!! or not there  ). We all don't drive sedately when we pick up our pensions you know:lol: I await the inevitable banter

Did try a Civic 8 years ago when I was looking to change my car and the VW golf won that time with the 1.4 TSI engine 122ps which was a great car but I like my Leon better, 1.4 TSI again but 140ps.

I do, my S4 hides in the garage most of the time and we mainly use my wife's Polo, my wife considered an Ibiza when I bought her a new car in August 2015, but I thought that at her age she should give the Ibiza FR a miss and stick with a Polo, I enjoy my winter fuel allowance too, well only half of it now, plus the curious £10 that we get handed out at Christmas, what a treat!

Friends of my wife have two Leons, the hotter one gets used by the wife, the slower one by the husband.

Wife wanted FR Leon but decided against it with the firmer suspension so opted for this one, I call her Stirling ( Moss) She is only one in family (up to now ) to get a speeding ticket. Ok it was only 51 in a 40 but still:rofl:

Fortunately my wife will probably never get a speeding ticket, she is too observant, her main "problem" from her driving ways, in my mind is to be too timid so she gets pushed out of the way, which is not really a smart way to drive, I'd like her to be a bit more assertive on the road - which is not the same as being aggressive.

I tend to use a portable satnav to keep me out of trouble when in strange areas, though with the Polo, its winter tyre speed limit warning does come in handy as it is set at 75MPH I discovered (I'd forgotten about setting it!)

Edit:- one thing about SEAT is, they do seem to make available a good selection of paint colours, VW are far too conservative in that respect, so both her Polos ended up being spec'd with silver paint as a default colour!!
