Car changing door lock settings

Hi all,

I have my MFD set to open and close doors automatically and also so all doors open with one press of the keyfob.

On two serperate occasions with the most recent being today, I have pressed the unlock button on the fob and only the drivers door has unlocked and requires two presses to unlock all doors however, upon checking the settings in the MFD, they are still set to open all doors with one press but the automatic locking and unlocking options have been unticked without my input.

The only way to get the one press unlock has been to choose a different option in the list (such as open doors individually) and then re-select the original setting.

There are no faults recorded when checking the modules and this has happened on two seperate occasions. Battery has good charge and was replaced this year and it doesnt seem to be weather dependant as it has happened in dry and wet condition.

Yup, same key, same fob

This could be totally wrong, but using the MFD, does the setting you're talking about with regards to unlocking all doors, only apply to when you pull the key out of the ignition?

What you're after is unlocking all doors from the outside; as far as I was aware, the MFD setting only controlled the unlocking of the doors from inside the car, as in when you finish driving.

Batteries in fob replaced a year ago with a Duracell.

With regards to MFD settings, the auto locking and unlocking relates to when the doors lock when the car moves off and then unlock when you pull the key from ignition. The other group of settings (individual, all, drivers etc) is the unlocking mode from the fob.

It's almost like the car randomly forgets it's current locking settings.

You know, mine does that too, and sometimes opens all doors instead of just the drivers, and sometimes doesn't automatically lock when you drive off. Always thought I was just imagining it!

That's two of us so I would think there are other cars out there with the same 'glitch'?
