Waiting on OBDEleven - but has my car had tweaks

Hi all

Today is hopefully the day I get this new toy - cant wait do to all the tweaks!

But, after reading this forum back at least 100 pages I think my car has had a few tweaks already.

My car is a 64 plate 1.8 FR. Does having rear red leds on all the time count..? Sport mode is on everytime I start it (doesn't reset). Mirrors fold in on lock etc... Does this look tweaked to you experts..?

Also, it makes me wonder if the car has had a stage 1 ECU remap - is there a way to check on OBD..?

Rear running lights isn't normal to my knowledge.

My driver profile will remain in whichever setting it was last in, so that doesn't seem unusual.

But if the mirrors fold with a single press and not a held press then I'd fairly confidently say yes.

Sounds like the previous owner made modifications.

Rear LED's on all the time is definitely not standard.
Car retains the drive profile from last time ignition was on. If you set it to normal then start is back up and it's in sport, it's definitely been changed.
By standard you need to hold the lock button for the mirrors to fold in, if it's the press only that's also a definite mod.

There isn't a way to check ECU remap other than a rolling road to measure power.

There is a flash counter on the ecu for complete temps of the car.

But to check that usually the ecu is removed and sent off for analysing by a specialist.

Sounds like the previous owner has just put a few codes in to get a few cheeky extras out if the car. I.e sport information is one people try to get the boost level/turbo psi gauge which is on the cupra edition not to sure about the FR's

See them all the time on the forums no performance mods effect these settings your on about though.

Thanks all for the replies. Looks like the previous owner has done one or two changes and I'm pleased they did!

My plan is to get LED lights for the fogs and activate cornering and maybe a few more...! Need to note my favourites from the main OBD post.
