It certainly warns you of traffic ahead. Maybe it knows how to avoid it, I've never asked it to.

Yes, my 2015 FR tells me there is traffic too, but doesn’t seem to reroute me, or at least, doesn’t tell me it’s doing it, link Mose SatNav.. but I read on one review of the newer model that it does now, although I can’t find anyone who’s actually experienced it.. on the standard OR the high...

My 2018 FR has standard nav and it does react to traffic reports, rerouting to avoid if possible.

The trouble is that those reports are mainly from media sources, e.g. Local radio, so can be inaccurate and out of date.

Google or waze, through android auto, is much better at traffic and routing - the built in nav also tells you too do the dumbest things.

I have an 18 plate FR... I can confirm it updates the routes due to traffic reports.... but its not very good at it...... Once it give me a traffic report I tend to ignore it for a while and find my own way... Its not a very clever system at all to be honest and the routes it chooses are often ridiculous

The traffic warnings are clearly not updated often enough to be useful. They regularly warn of traffic which is long gone or fail to tell you about the jam you've just arrived at. I'm struggling to think of a single instance when the report helped!

My 2018 Cupra std nav is not clever at traffic avoidance.
Many times it has me in the traffic before it seems to know about it.

I still can,t believe that the built in nav systems are so crap compared to the likes of a tomtom or garmin.
My tomtom 400 rider for the bike is much better than the car nav at route planning and traffic avoidance.

^^ what he last 3 posts said!!!

I've had it a few times where it's claimed to have rerouted for traffic ahead and I've carried on the same road regardless and low and behold, no traffic. Sometimes I barely trust the directions let alone the traffic reports.

Just use AA or CarPlay instead. Since MY19 kicked in, Sat Nav High is no longer an option. Theres not been much detail as to specs of Nav in MY19 though.

Do u know if ur order has been amended to MY19 spec?

Theres rumours that MY19 will have WLAN for Alexa as on app stores there is an app call SEAT Media Control with Alexa just been released

Unfortunately I have an iPhone, and I believe that will be android only. :banghead2
It was reported some time ago that the app would come to android first and iOS later. Not sure if that’s still the case and the timeline has as usual ‘moved to the right’. Could still be coming to iPhones though.

I have a 67 excellence and prior to that a 64 FR, i think the built in sat nav from seat is crap and hard to follow at times. Thank god for for Android Auto that allows me to choose from google maps and Waze which i installed on my phone.
