Is this the Cupra R ST its talking about, or the older none WLTP cars? If its the older not WLTP cars, then its BS.

However from reading that it does seem to link in with the exhaust system, there is a Y exhaust outlet on the WLTP 4Drive Estate cars. Where as pre WLTP was just software.

Suspect this will mean it won't become a dealer fit plug in box, but explains why they can get 370 rather than 350.

Would be good if it was an official map release from VAG and could be applied to any viable vehicle with less than 12k mileage and 1yr old maybe?

Because its a run of less than 200 cars you can get away with variations and emissions i believe

I think its out there already (there is a link on this forum) however the price quoted looks like a one off for this car only so you will pay the same, if not more than a normal map for any other car I suspect.

It’s around £1,900 and the warranty is in fact a third party insurance, compared with the Seat warranty for the R.

Right okay so 1900 isn't cheap! Probably worth me just travelling to the UK and getting a rolling road map. Or the cheaper option of buying a JB4.

Interesting video popped up today. Carwow have pitted a Cupra Ateca against a Golf R BUT have apparently gone to SEAT to plead with them about adding the £500 ABT tune on..

SEAT obliged apparently.. and thought about it as an added extra for Ateca. How real that all is, is anyone’s guess but sounds promising!

£500 for an extra 50bhp,not worth getting excited about really is it..... Much bigger gains from Revo for roughly the same price.

I’ve been waiting for a tune specific to the GPF engine prior to my car arriving. IF the tune was only £500, then I wouldn’t hesitate about getting one from ABT, but it’s £1900-2000 for non-ST R customers.

According to their website the 50hp gain only reduces the 0-62 time to 5.0 seconds, which doesn’t even match the OEM pre-GPF figures.

I was under the impression that REVO and APR have not yet released tunes for the 300ps GPF engines?

I remember a time when Cupra owners weren't bothered about consumption.

I am not, in fact I am a low consumption snob (currently running at 11mpg but hope to beat it later in the year)

Revo certainly had not and i know that APR were having issues getting big power out of it.
But they are also trying to hack some of the ECU's on a few of the VW Cars where Bosch have put in new security

I got the impression that it will not be happening soon as they have a load of other stuff to sort (that they can sell now I suspect the GPF Cars are low takeup at this time).
