seat leon 1.8 20vt4 cupra R makeover.

Yo,

so after riding my cupra(topsport in the netherlands) for 2 years and 50k km's i came across a seat leon 1.8 20vt4. ex undercover police car from germany. all history and maintainance at the dealer. in 2008 it got a new motor at the dealer. bought it with 2 year free of checkups. new belts discs etc.

so this is gonna be my new daily/project.

gonna transfer it into a 4wd cupra.

allready gathered frontbumper/rearbumper. skirts, brembo brake kit/ audi tt subframe with hubs and wishbones/ quicksteering rack. bilstein b14 set. ordering polybushes all around. cupra r doorpanels/ black dashboard parts/
allready built in cupra black roof. airtec fmic. forge diverter..

left me a nice suprise .

put the cupra rims on allready. kitted the doors against the rain. and put a fabia wiper on.

picked up audi tt subframe and steering rack today.

cant wait to put all the stuff on.

The cupra wheels are 18x7.5? The guys in the UK have 18x8 those lucky shitheads

I wanted cupra wheels but unfortunately not wide enough for what i need

i think it was some sort of antenna for the police. also got some weird switches left on some places.

Wait really!?!?! Where did you buy them? All the cupra wheels I found are 18x7.5 and 17x7.5 I love the look! If I could find 8j i would have some for winter wheels

You will also need the front shockers from the Audi to use the arms and anti roll bar on that subframe

I think something to do with it being and undercover German police car probably wires for the antennas etc

Hmmmm knowing Germany probably better than anyone here I would say no. If it's there standard cars that every officer gets then possibly. But the one off undercover cars I doubt it. Only for big order cars they make contracts with the local manufacturing companies, for example BMW in Bavaria, and where I'm located Mercedes Benz we have factories all over Baden Württemberg

no its completly stock. runs really smooth. thats why im not sure which way to go.

i got a bilstein set. that should work shouldnt it ? only question i got is if i need different swaybar links. probably going with oem r32 swaybars first

As long as they are for a cupra r so you can fit the anti roll bar drop links too them

i guess it will. btw the droplinks are allready connected to my shocks. since its a 4x4.
