I get loads of black spots over the rear bumper which I've been told is normal for a race cat. But TBH when I've had my foot flat to the floor, I usually keep eyes front and wide :D

:happy:I didn't mean i stare at the rear view whilst is doing it , more of a glimpse haha
im hoping.... getting the injectors done and the walnut blast carbon clean will decrease the amount of smoke
its sometimes chugging out the back .

. Yeah, I'm normally like :scary:. I've never seen any black smoke... but it must fire out some soot as I spend each Sunday clearing it off. Although now you mention it... it hasn't been anywhere near as bad since I had the inlet and injector clean.

Not seen any smoke out of mine whilst driving or whilst at idle.

Never found any residue whilst cleaning either.

Had to get my dad to tow me on a stretchy tow rope about 20 miles home on day as the gearbox stopped me getting gears, obviously had to idle the engine while towed for the brakes to work. Once the gearbox was OK the first time it hit full boost 1st gear the poor Merc behind me got a massive cloud of soot that had built up from idling so long beforehand :roflmao:.

Really need the intake clean but there's nothing i know of south wales area.

Ive been driving with a bit more enthusiasm the last few days and can see the smoke has reduced massively !
im thinking it was down to me doing a few short[ish] journeys .

I had the injectors cleaned on my stock R and it's helped quite a bit with black crap out the exhaust but also I do a few short journeys so like you said giving it a big blast is always good. recommend the Injector clean as my filter baskets in the injectors were falling apart lol pretty much replaced most bits (coilpack, spark plugs, sump pick up pipe, fuel filter and full service). Now the car is so much smoother to drive.

ive done the same mate :) , the main reason for me going to rtech will be to get the injectors done ive seen a few of nikis posts on facebook showing even low milage cars that need the filter baskets changing .
my car doesnt start great in the mornings either so i could have a leaky injector , id rather get the injectors sorted for piece of mind

Yeah after seeing the state of the baskets from mine (45k miles) I'm glad I did it lol the guy said he'd not seen them this bad.

I just wish they made them quieter than a tractor when it's on idle haha
