Hi guys, also been looking on these original cupra 19"

My question is, how is the ride going to feel? Should i stick with 18 or there's not much of a difference?

I've had 18" also on my car, stock suspension.
I have a Cupra 290 with these 19" wheels and when the suspension was stock the ride is good. I have KW Coilovers now. It's also about how big the tyre is, the bigger the tyre wall the more comfortable the ride.

I'm saving for some BBS SX 19". What do you all think. I've attached a pic of the wheels and my car.

They look similar to the Alloys you used to get on an A6 Black Edition. They look smart

They look good.

If buying used wheels, I’d always ask the seller to confirm they’ve never been buckled or cracked and haven’t ever had any structural repairs. I’d also ask to see a picture of the reverse side of the wheels showing the Seat part number / size and offset details to confirm that they are genuine Seat wheels.

I think they’ll look good in anthracite grey, which is a colour that goes well with most car paint colours.

Yes for sure. But since it’s an eBay store with a really good feedback that should be an issue I guess.

CM Wheels do an 18" Pretoria replica

I've not used them but I know a couple of people who have and they apparently withstand the sh*tty UK potholed roads

There’s also a genuine 18” VW version of the Pretoria alloy wheel - not available as a factory fit wheel but available from VW’s accessories range. I think they’re manufactured for VW by Ronal who are one of the manufacturers that VW use to make OEM wheels. Part numbers;

Silver; 5G0071498A 88Z
Gloss black; 5G0071498A AX1

Size; 7.5J x 18, ET51, PCD 5x112

I love the Pretoria, I reckon they must be fairly light as well, but for me I want to stick with 17".

The factory fit 19” version of VW’s Pretoria alloys are a flow formed alloy, which I think means they’re lighter than some other 19” VW factory alloys. Some Golf owners with the factory 19” version have had issues with these wheels cracking and buckling though as they seem to be quite susceptible to pothole and similar damage. Like many OEM wheels, replacements are quite expensive to replace (around £800,each, I think). The 18” version are cast and seem to be stronger, and they’re much cheaper than the 19” factory fit version (around £280-£300 each).

Tbh with you mate I have the 19” cupra alloys on my fr and you can feel quality changes tbh, but for me the looks change the whole car for the better and I would do it again as it’s only me really in the car.

Hi guys,

So after looking, far too much :D... i've decided to go with the 18" FR Performance, so the 1st pic.

Keep the stock look, and also with tires for 620€ i think it was a good deal.

Thanks to everyone!

Now you’ve just got to decide what colour you want them to be
