Ok so my boot struts arrived from poland & just fitted them to the car there now without issue. And its like a new car well boot anyways. One click opening is a treat.

Received and fitted mine today - 2016 FR ST

They fit and work perfectly! Very pleased.

Now need to find excuses to open the boot...

So in looking at getting the following - Stabilus model 017468

question is,
will adding these struts void my warranty?
Will having these more powerful struts damage the boot locking latch with the constant force of it trying to open?
 
I’ve got a new set sitting in my garage that I bought for my Cupra R ST(same seller as above) but never fitted. Happy to sell if you want to buy ?

No I’ve not tried these(brand new) but my friend has them on his Cupra. Needs a little more effort to close but nothing noticeable.
