Safety Recall For Heat Protection Mat - Anyone else affected?

I received a letter from SEAT to say that 'Formentor and Leon vehicles within the specified range of VINs with right hand drive, electromechanical brake servo and DSG from a limited production period there is a possibility that the heat protection mat was incorrectly fitted'.

They say that 'the brake fluid reservoir can melt and cause brake fluid leak into the engine'.

I'm booked in on the 25th March.

It was fine.

Mine is booked in too, but my dealer has found no faults on all the motors they have checked so far. I had a look at the brake fluid reservoir myself and the mat/protection plate looks fine to me and after a run there is no sign off it getting hot.

I have a 2021 VZ2 310 and I got a letter about this 2 weeks ago, luckily car was already booked in 25th March for parking sensor issue diagnostics (7 week wait for Diagnostics slot!), and this will be checked at same time.

No mate. Only the ones that are owned by people on this forum, and even then (I reckon) is in a minority. More will be prepared to post about their issues rather than people like me, who have had no problems whatsoever. I did, however, get an email regarding the OP's original post, and I've booked my VZ2 in for a check, but it's not something that has affected my ownership at all.

It's not just the sensors, along with outer rears not working, also the park assist has stopped working, and the manoeuvre breaking along with it.

Infotainment has been fine for me, and although I have the parking sensor issue, instill love the car and have no doubts on reliability.

Do you mean the 47U6 Heat protection recall?- some vehicles didn't have the heat shielding at the rear of the engine fitted correctly between the DSG and the brake servo, if not fitted correctly the brake fluid reservoir could melt. Applies to 310 models for sure between 2020 and 2022.

Not just Formentors, Leon and Octavia models also affected and maybe Golf and Passat.

I have had no problems with my CUPRA in the 23 months I have owned it.

Our Formentor has been great since we bought it.

I really like the formentor phev. Have now done 12k miles on it and the original niggles are all cleared through with the software updates and a couple of personal habits changing.

There are only 2 things that actually feel like could be improved..one is the road noise. It's absurd how loud the car gets, but this is a phev specific thing. I aim to address that with heavier carpet and some better door insulation this spring.

The second is the vipers , and how far into the drivers view the passenger vipers moves to.

By way of reliability or dealer attention or Cupra support, I think overall they are better than most. The construction itself is fairly solid and it feels like they did try and over spec it to launch the brand on a positive.

I can relate to this, mine has done that a few times with the "front assist unavailable" and traffic sign recognition warning, it goes off by itself eventually but that's not the point it shouldn't throw errors up in the first place.

I love the car but little things get on my nerves with it, particularly the windscreen wipers, they constantly tap the top right corner of the screen, and the keyless entry is temperamental.
