Hey all

I have a space saver wheel in the back of my 17 Leon FR ST, but not tools to fit it...

Would this kit (attached) fit over the wheel or is there another kit I should be looking for?

I've asked the seller and they said 'we can't be certain' - 😅

Thanks in advance

That should be alright - 16inch wheel will fit the wheel well, and the toolbox is made to fit the wheel, so you should be good?
Just double checking before I buy, is a 16" wheel supposed to have a 70 side and not 60?
My 18s have 40 sidewall which is oem.

According to ETKA there are two spare wheel types in Leon:
- T125/70R18 3,5JX18H2 ET25
- T125/70R16 3,5JX16H2 ET25

Mine came with 18" wheel from factory, but it was also possible to have 16". Don't know what kind of equipment decided which one was used. Other parameters seems to be the same

Does the 18" wheel fit fine in the boot?
I'm suprised the 16 and 18 both come with 70 sidewall tyre, shouldn't it be less for the 18s to match the existence radius of all the other wheels?

Looking at getting a spare wheel for my 2014 ST what's the best options? I see a general 16" space saver with tool kit on eBay for around £70-75. Or is better trying to get hold of a proper spare wheel and the curved foam insert with tools. Or can I get an alloy wheel and the curved foam insert?

This is the correct foam insert and tool kit for an ST, I also recommend getting an 18" spacesaver as it's closer to the same diameter as the the standard 17" wheels.

Hi am in southern Scotland. I have a spare 16inch alloy wheel and going by posts on the forum it fits in the ST with no issues. The only other issue is the tool kit and getting foam inlay for it. Not sure if I should slump for a aftermarket space saver, the foam inlay you posted with tools is pretty expensive cheapest I found £126 + postage that's no including the wheel
