Hi all from London. Just got my 75-reg Leon ST Mk4 (KL) since Nov 2025. Previously owned an Audi A4 (8K) in Hong Kong.

Welcome to the Forum as @Seastormer said we all like to see other peoples motors so please post us some pictures

Welcome along to the forum, your new motor looks very nice.

JCB Crawley is quite a distance from E14, was it a particularly good deal that brought you down to leafy West Sussex?

Hi there, traveling from E14 down to JCB Crawley was not too much of a hassle, just under than 2 hrs.

E14 -> (Jubilee Line) -> London Bridge -> (Thameslink) -> Three Bridges -> (Bus 400) -> Herons Lea

The worst part was the drive back to E14: slowly cruising in wet on the M23 (sorry I dont trust the Bridgestone T005 it comes with in pouring rain), while my Google Map kept leading me to drive via back streets from Croydon to Rotherhithe Tunnel in the wet evening rush hours :(

The deal itself seems quite OK to me, the vehicle was already sitting in the country but not yet registered, a few thousands off the MRRP for a quick sale probably to meet their month-end target.

My local Cupra/SEAT dealer, about 5 miles from me.

Oh you so lucky, having a dealer close to home.

My nearest dealer is WJ King (2 sites at Bromley + Sidcup) but they did not have any new car deal at that time.

When I look for the purchase I deliberately wanted a Black Edition, as only this trim has the keyless entry (and Panoramic Sunroof), the JCB salesman told me there were only 2 "Black Edition STs" still available in the UK at that very moment, with JCB having one at their Ashford showroom (which is now under my name). I suspect the other one was at another dealer at Aylesbury, as I could found both on offer at Autotrader. I decided to go to Crawley as going to Aylesbury was a bit too troublesome 😅.

P.S. Do guys here know that the door actuators and keyless entry sensors of VAG cars are prone to failures? My previous A4 (8K) had suffered all and had replaced all 4 door actuators (and fuel door actuator TWICE), plus all 4 keyless entry sensors too. Luckily I was in Hong Kong by then, and having a VAG car there has the advantage of cheap good OEM parts from China (as there are many VAG vehicles made and driven there).

I think there are a few threads around this forum on the subject.
