Hi, there

Has anyone had this update PV4RC recently?.i just got a recall from cupra to plan this update. My question is the ones that had this updated does the car feels better?Gearbox, switch from electric to petrol , flickering ambient light?

Tnx

The 90Z1 recall (implementation of the PV4-RC software update suite) was released last week. A few members on here have already had the update done prior to the recall being released.

It rectifies lots of issues that have been reported over the last 18 months.

Ok.Thanks for the quick reply but i am very surprised that it takes 1-2 days to do this update.

Sorry for going off-topic, if it is possible at all, would you mind looking up which control units are included in 94S7 for me ?
I'm afraid the only time you can see which modules are updated is right before the update takes place.

Dealers like to keep vehicle far longer than they actually need them in case something doesn't go to plan, and to allow them to flick between multiple vehicles at a time. In reality it's half a days work, if not less
The PV4-RC on Seat/Cupra vehicles is much more straightforward than the same update suite on VWs.

Realistically it takes about 5 hours to fully complete, parts always seem to need re-doing on the Seat/Cupra update.

The record so far was on a VW and took 23 hours from start to finish.

hi all. fresh from the service/garage and update. I can try to answer some questions.
got Formentor Phev after facelift. Netherlands.

The obvious things that I have noticed right away:
1. gearbox delay electro/petros seems smooth
2. clutch/metallic sound of a "release" from full stop mode
3. I had some red LED flickering, very minor, happed in winter - cannot say if its gone for sure
4. some cosmetics in the infotainment, additional option I see under battery icon that says something about keeping the battery state on/off (not sure what is it yet), some graphics improved for "systems"

just hot from the press, so not sure about other updates

it took 2 days in official WV garage. involves multiple modules and its not easy this update

Hey,

So after the update it feels smoother?Because my leon is killing my nerves with the delay between electric and petrol engine, also did you experienced the braking issue when coming to a stop?for me when coming to a stop the electric motor stops saving energy and pedal feels softer and stopping power is almost gone.

I can recognize this issue in my Formentor as well.

In electric mode, the car seems to come to a proper stop, but in hybrid mode, when the petrol engine is on, I felt like I need to start braking a couple of seconds earlier. I only drove about 10 km from the garage to home in hybrid mode, and the transition feels smoother, normal. I haven’t tested the braking properly yet, but I’ll do some more testing tomorrow on my way to the office and back.

Had mine updated yesterday, hopefully solves all the issues, just got a cold start rattle to sort out

I have just got my car back after 2 days in dealership. At beginning i had some issues when charging the battery it was in emergency charging mode but released the cable plugged in again and error went.
What i have noticed, the transition between electric and petrol si much faster and smoother , acceleration way sharper brake pedal feels more stiffer than before as for other things i will just wait and see.Thats the version that i have now on infotainment.

Hi you must be one of the lucky ones Cupra refused to allow my dealer to carryout a full upgrade and denied there was a recall available.
