First of all, thanks for the compliment Walshy on my exhaust tips, but since having the dual Akrapovic ones I’ve changed to single outlets on the car due to a new cat back system. The dual tips came in at a total of 152mm wide for each side, the max I think you can go on each side of the ST300 is 160mm with out having to do anything to the diffuser. I think the black single ones that I have now with the car de-badged give it that stealth look.View attachment 2012View attachment 2013with dual tips.

New cat back system.....

Hello,

I'm coming back into a very old thread. I live in Switzerland and here the exhaust tips cannot go beyond the bumper line. Likewise, I want to add similar tips, can you comment if any of these go beyond the bumper when you install them? I plan on making something exactly the same. Thanks!

You will need to trim them as they will most likely protrude the bumper. I have 3 sets of exhaust tips, all clamped on the stock exhaust mufflers. You have small ledge (51mm diameter if I recall correctly) on which you can clamp a new exhaust tip.

Thank you very much! This is an amazing explanation that gives me a much better perspective. I do like the bigger oval tips, look really nice. Personally I would even like to put some dual tips, but as all of them are at least 250 mm long, they go way beyond the bumper I can't find a solution. Like these ones:

Or these:

Btw, does this new cool rear diffuser extends the bumper line, does it gives an extra cm or two? It also looks really nice

Its the Rieger diffuser, check my build topic as it holds all the information and a lot of pictures. 250mm will be way too long and probably chopping it up and welding it up to stock mufflers.

I think the tips I bought were about 175mm length (total). Then you have some idea about how much you need to chop up ;)
