Hi, I have a 2018 1.4 TSI Leon ST, Recently the the drivers door was intermittently locking remotely, all other doors unlock and lock fine.
When driving the auto door lock would keep trying to activate.
When using the key in the door everything locks fine.
I changed the drivers door module out for one off amazon but the problem still persists.
Sometimes its fine and other times not. The car doesn't show that its open when you lock it but the interior light will stay ok.
Now when you use the manual lock on the drivers door it deactivates the drives window.
Take the lock off and window looks fine.
So I have changed the module, checked central locking fuse, is there anything else I need to look for as the car looks pretty shabby having the key cover off all the time just in case.

Thanks Geoff

In 85% of cases, the solder joints of the microswitches in the door lock are broken. A known problem within the company. I would replace it quickly before it locks but no longer unlocks.

As you have replaced the door and CL modules - I suspect it is a coding issue.

I had an intermittent drivers door lock issue. ( usually stopped working when frosty outside )
Swapped out the door lock module and got my central locking back.
BUT - when the autolock activated at 6mph - it disabled the drivers window ( and the door locked light had stopped turning orange to indicate it was locked )
It ended up being a coding issue - as soon as I deactivated "SAFE LOCK" using obd11 it all worked properly again.

Thanks for your replies, the part I changed was the door actuator, funnily enough mine also started to play up when the weather got cold recently so that is pointing me in that direction.
Is the coding something that I could get done at a local auto electrician?

Any garage/electrician with VCDS, obd11 etc should be able to code out the safe lock function.

You could also ask on your local car enthusiast FB page to see if anyone local to you would do it for a couple of beer tokens.
