Window regulator exploded again on monday. Replaced it with a used one last time and it only lasted a year. Thought i'd try a third party panel and regulator from autodoc. Only took 3 days to get here and looks and feels ok quality. Will update when i've fitted it.

UPDATE: Just fitted it and it all fits and works fine. A lot thinner metal than the OE one, but seems thick enough to do the job and the mech is nice and smooth. All holes line up nice, even the ones for the wiring loom clips and speakers etc. Time will tell how long it lasts, will keep updated.

they never usually break .. do you know what caused it?

Cable snapped both times.
24 years of windows up and down, and it's damp inside the doors. Think they'd both finally coroded to the point where they broke.
When I do the locks I normally spray light oil on the cables ect and we’re it runs up and down the guide that can stick .. I use a silicon spray on that .. the rear door regulators were quite stiff

Yeah that's a good shout. They always seem to break on a day when it's pissing with rain or I have a million other things on my plate lol. Hoping this one lasts at least a good 5 years. Was £60 including the shipping, so not too bad

you must be getting allot of water coming in to do that, action can products are good gear like AC90 and its safe for paint and better than wd40 the same guy who brought wd40 in uk is the guy who started action https://www.actioncan.com/product/ac-90/ Then there is CD90 and RP90
