You're going to need an fmic, Phil. Saw a graph logged before fmic and after intake temps with a pd150.

They were sky high after a minute, I'd sooner do that before clutch, standard clutch will hold 200bhp/300ftlbs anyway.

Hope you enjoy it, glad you've decided to keep it!

Hhhmm that puts a new slant on it lol, I have got one which I can get, needs a quick refurb on the end tank as it's split but comes with pipes so I'll go and sort it, I would have picked it up start of this month but all manner of **** happened so it got postponed, I'll email the chap.

Really looking forward to it all now :)

Another couple of updates:

double dinn installed:

lovely bit of kit, dinn slots needed a bit of alteration inorder for it to fit but its in now, trim piece is in the post to me to hide the screw holes as it snapped during fitting, but hey, minor detail and only £10 to replace.

also was provided this by a very generous donator:

pipework was included so will *touchwood* be installed on the car providing my budgeting holds up lol and that all the pipes are included.

Car was also dropped off at Unit 18 today for:
*Turbo Fitting
*Exhaust
*80k Service
*Din install tidy up (chop out the back piece so the HU sits further in and I can get my wheel remote in and behind it) and turn off the airbag light after finding what the problem is (always on atm for some reason)
*intercooler install

Now, what to do with the old parts ;).....

Got her back yet Phil?

nope :( and the wait is killing me frankly, as there was a back log of 3-4 cars so I've given him a couple of days, I have said tho I will have to pick it up on friday as i need it for work over the weekend so hopefully at least the exhaust will be on and the car serviced and that would be a start, then look to get everything else on my next day off.

but it does mean i can use the rents 210bhp saab 93 2.0T which is a very different experience

Ah that sucks man! Is it mapped at the moment with a stage 1?

I know the feeling though it's horrible to have to wait isn't it :(

The car has got a stage 1 map on it but the pd130 turbo is making a screeching noise and has done for about a year and a half and have been sold its everything from the impeller to.the vnt mechanism so I was really hopeful I was going to have a fully working car again, I've had the pd150 in the house since Feb lol

It's Especially annoying since I took the week off work so it could all be done as well lol, if nothing else, at least my double dinn is in and working lol

Cars back, really chuffed with it, still not 100%, exhaust needs to be straightened as it's a bit half cocktail and a bracket cut off to stop vibration but it sounds awesome under load, then the intercooler fitted Tuesday when the last pipe arrives but dead chuffed. Double dinn install is now also complete

Is turbo and mapping done too mate?
Looks nice! Half way through my piper install but I called it a day and gone to the pub lol.

Got totally fed up trying to butcher the old exhaust off, safe to say it will never see a car again lol

we had the same problem removing the turbo, the bolts connecting onto the downpipe where seized on and a total ******* to remove, took a couple of hours in the end :(

Turbo is on, mapping is done, exhaust is done, service is done, VAG com check done, EGR removal done, headlamp washer removal done (in preparation for the FMIC). Wheel control adapter fitted to Headunit Alot Done really lol

Next month I now need 2 new tyres, and 2 new rear calipers thanks to mine not letting go properly and as a result have now mishapen the the tyres

Another £300 bill I could have done without :ban:

i was just wondering how much the mk5 interior cost you mate?
and i believe it is a straight swap in right?

No worries I am patrolling the mk4 fairly often it's true, and thanks for the compliment for the car

as for the seats, don't pay any attention to how much I paid for them, I got them ridiculously cheap as the seller didn't know what they were worth I would have happily spent double what I did inorder to.get them. As it was I paid under £200 for them so as you can see, billy bargain lol

bloody hell that is cheap!

basically the plan is for me to buy a MK4 ibiza in a couple of months, and put the mk5 interior in it, as i think it looks cooler.

then when i read your post saying it was also more comfortable i thought, wahey!

i was thinking for a decent mk5 interior it'd be about £400, but obviously i will keep my eye out for any silly people, you lucky so and so!!

how much work did it take to get the interior into the mk4 mate?

That's about right and about what I would have paid as well, there's always a bargain out just got to hunt them down.

To fit they are a straight swop no real work involved at all, and they are far far more comfortable and well worth the money, I will have these done in leather at some point but I am more than happy with them the way they are for now

yeah once i have bought the ibiza, i will start with the non performance based mods, ie flip key, auto down/up windows and the interior are all a must for me!

its a much nicer placer to be once you suss out how you want the car, I always aimed for mine to be a comfortble yet quick cruise with all kinds of gadgets and toys and with a fair bit of poke, and i think i've got that near enough, and it doesn't look anything spactacular, just looks good lol, which is win win in my eyes with its new lease of life
