Lol I seen a couple of clips with a olatinum GRE Ibiza drag racing and the smoke from that was like a thick cloud of it lol. Ahhh right so dies that still pass its mot?

The smoke test is mot tester dependant, as mine currently is it will pass on the smoke test, the fact that it's de cat that could present a couple of.problems, good job Im mates with an mot tester in London lol

looking good phil, that exhaust is sweet

Cheers Alex, sounds awesome now it's bedded in alot better just wish the parts suppliers would get there finger out of there arse and get me the fitting bits for the fmic, it's like no.bugger wants my money lol

right then a couple of little updates:

Now spoken to forge and I will have my FMIC parts on Monday and touchwood will be fitted on wednesday morning, should mean my MPG will increase again as its gone through the floor since mapping it (average about 39 atm) probably due to a.) heavier right foot as I love the noise b.) cars been mapped for a FMIC thats not fitted so its probably over fuelling at the minute, lets see what happens.

In the mean time:

Cupra style gear gaitor has been fitted:

this little sod of a clip is a right bugger to remove:

not bad for £12

I have vinyled the front lip as the black paint was really bad chipped and marked and was a tri colour lip (red white and black). It's not perfect as I couldn't remove the grill due to it already being broken in the the middle so it would have just smashed upon removal.

in order to complete it i had to make up a template for the curve of the grill:

use said template and mark out on the vinyl what i needed and then cut to shape:

then applied with a hair dryer. There are some bubbles but its not bad at all for a temporary fix:

car had been throughly cleaned with several applications of snow foam, polish and wax:

YES PHIL you finally debadged that horrible Ibiza! Lol. Did you paint your grills black or did they come like that on yours?

Sam.

That's the standard colour, I will be getting the grills and rub strips painted black at some point so they all match the wing mirrors.

Deffo debadge!

The people have spoken, Im still going to look for a small all red tdi badge tho to.go under the FR badge

I have my TDi badges from the sides if you like?

You will just need some double sided tape to attach them. :)

which size are the ones you have? I'm ideally looking for a fairly small badge to tuck under the FR badge like you get on the new style Passats etc

dont suppose you have a part number or shall i just ask dave for a small red tdi badge?
