You need to get yourself a digital caliper

I am in the process of fitting an octavia vrs front arb to my leon and i think it may be the same size

I came up with some good findings

Bar was
475FB75D-D48E-49A0-AEB9-63D4F1A52B55-126-0000006C5F9AB367.jpg

But to my surprise you'd think 19mm bushes.... Nope! 17mm bushes

Thats on an octavia arb! I will try my best to measure my leon one sometime next week! I am going for 17mm super pro bushes on my new octy vrs arb

Basically if you have a 19mm arb use 17mm bushes

A 21 mm arb use 19mm bushes
23mm arb (r32) use 21mm bushes

I would say the fr would use a 19mm arb! Thats just a guess though

Had a local vag garage do them, but have read that the trick is to use a longer bolt to compress the bracket then re-use the standard bolt.

Just been to look for receipt ,but cant find it. Pretty sure they are 23mm on a 150pd. not had any problems so far and been fitted for about 2years.

looks like Al, is going to have to get his vernier caliper out ;)

Yes thats the best way to find out!

Also some arbs are sleeved where the bush goes!

Really need to have a look at your own with a vernier
I will have my one off this weekend (pd150) and i will measure it on monday if its any use!

I am changing my arb setup from going over the driveshaft to under the driveshaft. Also connecting it as per the leon cupra r... With drop links to the front shocks (my coilovers allow this)

I was a bit worried there when you said stock pd150 is 23mm as ive got a 19mm bar to go on :O but the leon cupra r runs a 19mm bar so the setup im going for maybe gains its extra strength through the different mounting position :O

Im doing this as my arb hits my driveshaft at the minute as im lowered and i was too much of a cheap skate to buy an £80 bigger looped arb :O

The leon cupra runs a 23mm arb same as the tdi

The lcr runs a 19mm arb
Im guessing its to do with the arb mounting position

I went for the same setup as the lcr as all the performance varients use this arb set up... Connected to shock absorber. Where the less sporty models connect via small links to the wishbone

The Cupra R anti-roll bar attaches to the suspension strut.

All other Leons have the anti-roll bar attached part-way along the lower wishbone.

So the LCR setup will see more movement than the others for a given wheel deflection.

To put it another way, on the LCR, the anti-roll bar acts on the end of the wishbone, on the others it acts halfway along the wishbone, so the lever arm is shorter.

So the LCR requires less stiffness as it is acting on a longer lever arm.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but seemed better than starting a new one, can anyone tell me how difficult it is to fit a new anti roll bar on the Leon Cupra TDI? I have a big loop one to go on to give me clearance with my coilovers but wanted to know how much of a PITA it is to do for a moderate beginner?

Otherwise, how much of a rip off will it be to get a garage to fit it?

Cheers!
