Hello everyone, I'm going to look at, and most likely part ex my 5F Leon FR for the Cupra R ST in a couple of weeks, it only has 22k on the clock and look to be in very good condition with full servicing carried out by the dealers. (They couldn't tell me if the DSG has had its oil changed, could someone tell me when the oil is due to be changed, please?)

Is there anything I need to look out for/check when I go and take a look at it... which are prone issues with the Cupra R/ST specs etc?

I've loved my FR, and always wanted a Cupra. I'm not a fan of all the 'assist' tech in the MK4 and tablet screens, so this car is looking to scratch that itch I've had for years

Thanks in advance

Not much difference to the Cupra 300 ST so i'd be looking at the usual things. I'm not aware of R specifics that are issues and at 22k/4.5 years old, doubt it should have any.

Which one are you looking at?

Like mentioned, there is not much to consider relative to a normal ST 4drive. My cupra r st shows slight signs of water pump leakage at 60k km. Also runs on cup 2 tyres from factory which are quite poor in rain so be carefull. I will replace them with something more road oriented. Carbon body kit is expenive to replace so check for damage.
Great machine otherwise, handles and looks awesome , is very practical and comfortable, so enjoy.

The SEAT recommended oil change frequency for the 7 speed DSG gearbox is 80,000 miles, but the independent that I use recommends an oil change for this gearbox every 40,000 miles.
