My 2007 Leon FR TDi 170

After 6 years of driving MK4 Ibizas, I decided to take the plunge and move up to the Leon. I wasn't really looking seriously for a car at the time, but passed the dealers one night last week and saw a car I really liked. Went in the next day and done a deal. Exactly the same as I had done with the Ibiza FR. So on Tuesday there I picked up my 57-plate Leon FR TDi, with a mere 9200 miles on the clock.

Tuesday was a horrible day, never stopped raining for more than an hour, so I left it until yesterday to actually go out and drive it. Didn't take me long to get used to it, as it's not too much wider than the Ibiza, is a lot more refined to drive and handles the bumps so much better, which makes it easier to move up from the last car. The power is nice too. :D

Here it is

Cheers. :) Nothing for a while and even then I don't think I'd do much to it. Maybe some Cupra mirrors, I'm not sure. It's all new to me, so I'm in no rush to change anything, apart from the need to get my iPod connection sorted out.

Cheers. :) I think you'd like it Scott. It's a nice big car, very comfy on long journeys, but has all that power when you need it too.

Cheers. No real plans at the moment for it, the novelty of a new car will take a while to wear off after 6 years of the Ibizas. Ordered some chrome dial surrounds from Fleabay and attached the SCN sticker, but that's it! Still got some SEAT UK plate surrounds kicking about, might put them on.

Just a little update with some more pics. Haven't done anything at all to the car so far, apart from 10,000 miles! I've got a pair of Cupra mirrors which need repainting as they're excessively stonechipped and going to see about a Cupra grille also. Thought about the Linea and Cupra mix, but nobody would want to buy the leftovers. Might see about getting the wheels refurbed too, mainly because I scraped one when I changed the left front a few months back and dropped it on the pavement, facedown....

We'll see about that once the snow disappears!

A couple of pics I took on Monday before I left to come home from a weekend away.

Just seen this post Ross, sorry for the late reply! I've been that way a few times recently. No idea what I was doing that day, it's escaped me!

Just back from a few days in Ullapool. Car's looking a bit dusty at the moment. It's the driest part of the UK up there right now.

It's even worse than this now. Dust+damp overnight air.
