I had read a thread before about quickshifts so i decided making 1 was cheaper.
Didnt take very long only a few bits needed and it was fitted.

Can them pins or similar be bought anywhere?, Is there a name for them?.
I wish I could do this but don't have the skills or tools :(

That's very kind but I'm not sure you can get the pins seperately. Unless anyone knows different?. It would save on getting a Forge one though ;)

Nice job. Does the trick without the expense if you've got the right tools and knowhow.

I seem to remember Dieselgeek used to sell a similar thing - they sent you a modified shifter and you got a partial refund when you sent your standard one back to them.

How did you go about setting it up again with the cables? I think one of the cables on mine might be slighly out as 2nd is a little dfficult to engage

I'm so tempted to do this on mine. Anyone know how much a standard one is from the stealers? Just in case!! lol. Anyone know why I couldnt do this on a 5 speed?

So you literally drilled a hole directly in line with the two holes already in place?

Presumably Probee the side-to-side is the same, but you drill a hole lower than the one already in place? how much lower did you go?

Thinking about it, even if I messed up the drilling of the hole, I could just put the pin back in the original position and I would just have an extra hole there.

I've just had a look at mine on my car and it looks completely different, so I'll have to take a closer look and see. I have a bad feeling its not going to work though!
