I've had the cupra for a while now and decided to get in the groove of things.

I bought some spare callipers and carriers from ebay, cleaned them up and gave them a new coat of paint. They are drying at the moment and Im considering a touch up 3rd coat of paint. Going for a black and silver theme across the car with touches of blue.

And also a sneak preview of what I am working on... :D

Dials to follow [B)]

lots of cheap and expensive mods I am looking to do, just time and funds being on my placement year at uni.

N249 By-pass should also be done this weekend *fingers crossed*

Take it up have blue cupra then? What calipers are those? Look nice painted blue, as does the display unit! Nice to see someone doing something a little different

No its silver, well more of a muddy silver currently. They are just standard callipers, will be a while before I need bigger ones :cartman:

ive thought about changin the LED's in the screen before, but i thought it was just the screen was red and it would have to stay that way, will you be able to do a guide on how to change the colour once you've done it?? it looks mint!!!

All the colour comes froms SMDs, there is no color produced from red ink anywhere (which I was glad to findout :cartman: )

I am tempted to do a guide... but its not an easy thing to do and might be a waste doing a guide that no one will use. I can provide some screenshots and bit more info once its all done (inclu the dials) so people can have an idea and what is involved if they want to do it.

Shame I dont have a picture of my dials with me, as they look sweet :funk:

I'd like to have a similar color to my old polo 6n2 gti, blue with red needles... Would look nice :)

My incomplete dials...

They are a lot brighter than this picture but my crappy blackberry has no night mode. Its just for you guys to get an idea.

The way the needles are designed causes a minor but liveable (sp) problem with the top two dials. I will explain in the tutorial as I will end up writing it out twice lol
