Changing Side Repeaters (Lens & Bulbs) **GUIDE**

Tools/Parts needed :

501 bulbs
New Side Repeaters
Tissue or toilet paper
A kitchen knife
Old sock

Car used :

10 Plate Ibiza 1.4 SC Sport

Time needed :

5 Minutes per side max

Difficulty :

1/5 - It really is that simple

I'll be using these bulbs



(Did use L.E.Ds in the tutorial but soon changed them).

I'll be using these lens





(They have clear casing but black backing)

Comparison with the old ones



This is what you will start off with, the lovely fried egg look



**PLEASE NOTE BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER THIS IS THE WAY I DID IT AND IT WILL BE UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW THIS GUIDE**

Next put the kitchen knife in the sock (black cotton as it's thinner, Cat hair is on it!!) and put it up to one of the edges on the side repeater



**REMEMBER TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO TAKE ANY PAINT OFF THE CAR**

With a little pushing inwards of the knife the repeater should pop out

Twist the holder clockwise and the repeater should come off leaving the holder.



**DO NOT LET GO OF THE BULB HOLDER/WIRE AS IF IT GOES INSIDE THE WING IT WILL BE A PAIN TO GET OUT**

Take your tissue/toiler paper and pull out the old bulb and put it somewhere safe. Pick up your new bulb with the tissue/toilet paper and push in the holder



Take your new repeater and push in the bulb holder twisting clockwise (I know, sounds odd as you took off this way but this was how mine was!), line up the clips either side of the wing and push in. If done correctly you should have this



Do the same for the other side and you should have



Take a step back and look overjoyed at your new look!

**I then re did them about an hour later with the Silvertec bulbs**
