Started the car earlier on and the engine management warning light was on. Made a 10 mile round trip and then did a scan when I got home. The error showing was this:

Now I reset this after doing the scan and it's stayed off since (have driven around 10 miles). The only thing I can think that may have caused it is I was running low on fuel this afternoon (forgot to fill up last night) so I stuck a fiver in at Tesco to put me on until I could get to a shell garage. But surely supermarket fuel isn't this bad for your car lol!?

Anyway, it the above something serious? If it doesn't happen again, should I bother having it looked at?
Also, assuming it's a sensor that's faulty, what kind of price am I looking at for it to be fixed (dealer rates?)

Ta!

[edit]
btw, no other warning lights were showing (DPF, coil etc) and the car drove fine.

My lamda and egt sensors were £100+ mate, when they went. The egt you could not reset without it coming up straight away again, but the lamda stayed off for a few hundred miles and then the EML light came on. I would say if the fault comes on again your looking at a replacement:(

The G450 sensor is the DPF pressure sensor, they are around £80 and quite easy to change yourself to be honest.

The sensor is located at the top left of the engine and it clipped to the corner of the engine.

It has 2 pipes coming off it going down to the DPF

To be honest, knowing nothing about car fixing, and having no tools to do it either, I'd probably rather have it done at the garage. Hopefully it'll stay off now and it was just the car protesting at me letting it get low on fuel! :)

I had my ecu light and dpf light on at the same time. Took it to my bro, to put his diagnostic kit on it and it was the exhaust pressure sensor. He cleared it and it's been ok since. I'll wait till it happens again before I do anything. Luckily for me my bro is a mechanic and will do it for me.

Dpf sensors are common across the range, when you order new one the parts are generally modified. Plus sometimes software updates are available but seat would only be able to tell you about software. If your unsure just try a new sensor.

Not sure what you mean about the new ones being modified!? The software is always checked for updates when it goes in for a service (every 5 months or so) and updated if needed.

hmmm... I'll ask them to fit another one anyway when it goes in for the MOT at the end of next month...
