Following on from the thread in the Ibiza MK4 section that says if fitting the Darkside Developments EGR delete kit for the newer PD140 engine you can retain the ASV on the PD130 BLT engine

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=340731

From looking on darksides site theres no kit for the pd130 engine, and from looking at allard who do a kit for the pd130 but theres no mention of retaining the asv. Anyone know why this is?

In the thread linked above it also mentions that because you still keep the asv then the egr eml is able to be mapped out on the pd130 blt.

Just looking for some more information on this as Id like to do an EGR delete but dont want to have to remove the EML completely, and would like to keep everything as standard as possible by keeping the ASV in place

I had a new turbo fitted, egr pipe didn't line up do we blanked both egr ports on the valve and turbo, blocked the vac line for the valve and had just the egr (not the eml itself) mapped out and no issues so far.

No faults logged etc, mines a blt...so I've retained the asv but no gasses being recirculated and no eml :)

Good spot, I did notice that there was no ibiza listed (obviously because no 140 or 170) but thats good that it lists the BLT 130 Fabia plus in that other thread someone fitted it to a BLT engine with no problems.
Seems to be a better route and being able to keep the ASV. Basically just a shorter pipe than the Allard kit for the 130 but why does allard remove the ASV aswell?
