KK's '63 Ibiza FR, H&R Springs, Skirts & Spoiler

Time to start a thread for my beloved FR!

Picked it up on the first of September from Stoke Seat.

Options on it include:

I had a 1.4 TDi Polo before hand and was looking at a 1.9 TDi 130 Polo or Ibiza but due to insurance and trying to find a decent one i opted for a new car! God knows why!!

Unfortunately, the car developed an oil leak after about only 1000 miles :/

Took it into Stoke Seat, luckily they were quite good good about it, and got the work done under warranty, i luckily had a week off work so they could have the car to fix it and i wouldn't miss any work, i had also had the car booked in anyway to have the tailgate spoiler added, however that didn't turn out as i expected...









... Needless to say i was fuming, how do you manage to paint something the completely wrong colour when you have the car???

Went to wales with the other half and thought the car was looking good so took a snap (even with the wrong coloured spoiler)

Took a few more photos the other night when it was foggy









Got the Spoiler sorted too eventually



And Seat have offered me £150 worth of accessories as goodwill.

I was told though that the FR can't have mud flaps on the front?

Not very good quality, might complain

Got a few new bits for the car



Plan with this is to do the badge at the front and wheels



Quite surprised at the size difference!
Don't know if its me but the car actually feels a bit SLOWER

Thanks I agree completely, was going to have it down while I was waiting for the 1st of september but couldn't make my mind up. Overall i'm glad i've done it (even with the colour hassle) makes it looks nicer/standout more than a lower spec Ibiza

Cheers I think they look nicer grey/black but I know what you mean. Then again that encourages you to get the Cupra I guess. Having said that I think they are miles better than the standard 16's on an FR (sorry to anyone who owns one)

Update

Got the sport pedals and the fan washer jets from seat with the goodwill money



Pedals fitted, fairly easy, was a bit of a faf removing the old clutch



Can't remember if that was with full beam or not, i've got night breakers in the dipped beam



With my other car



Plans are to lower it with H&R and get spray the alloys, mirror caps, and badges black

Quite good, it did initially feel a bit slower but I think that was just me sounds a bit nicer in my opinion too

I'd recommend one, the cars got it's first service on Friday so i'll be taking it out before it goes in as I don't trust the dealer to leave it be
