Tyre Pressure for 18" FR SC

Quite a hard thing to find out, Im not convinced the pressure on the fuel cap is right and is most likely for the 17's?

Anyone know the exact figures for comfort and economy?

29???? that's way too low! when I drive alone or with 1 passenger, I use 34 front, 32 back (in mexico there are lots of pot holes...)

If the car is loaded, I use 36 front and 37 back (5 people, full trunk).

Stupid question, I know... Does higher presaite make the ride better? Roads in the UK ad full of potholes now...

Well despite the fuel filler cap sticker saying 33PSI for normal driving conditions I was told by Seat when they replaced my tyres that 29 PSI is correct. I had a wheel alignment done the other day and it was confirmed by the lad doing the alignment.

I've just checked a few online tools where you input your reg number and for 18" alloys it's 29 PSI/2.0 bar.

Does anyone have anything more concrete so that I know I've got this really wrong??

seat figures for 1.8 fr tsi tyre pressures are 32 front 29 rear this is what i use as using higher pressures will result in harder ride and tyre wear as being in the motor trade for 40 years manufacters spend millions designing a motor car so they know best stick to what seat reccomend for comfort and economy.diesel would be slightly higher as engine is heavier than petrol

Same tyre size on my mk2 is the same 32 and 29.

32 front and 29 rear for my 5 door on 18s. 63k miles and on my second set of tyres, the first set were worn very evenly when I changed them. Most of my driving is trundling up and down the motorway on my lonesome.

not really, it actually makes the ride harsher. But in case you end up in a pothole, odds of surviving without a blown tyre or bent rim are a lot higher if you have higher tyre pressure. for me 34 and 32 works perfectly with the 18 inch alloys. No extra wear, no loose of grip, no nothing...

hi biker what car have you got is it a diesel if so tyre pressures would be higher than petrol

Didnt notice on mine telling me the size of the rim will need to check again...

So that's 38-41psi at the front and 33-41psi at the back? That's more inline with my previous car.

Seat told me that if your car is built with 18" wheels then the info will be correct on the label. Not check mine yet.
