Boot struts mod for SC

Ive seen it all over youtube that if you replace the original boot struts with the ones from a Skoda Octavia or Superb ( exact part is Stabilus 017468) you will have remote boot opening from the key.

The question I have is will this work on the SC Leon (3door version) because the rear windshield is more tilted than the 5 door version.

If anyone who has the SC did this mod please tell me if it works or if you used a different part for it. I dont want to risk breaking my rear windshield if the ones everyone uses dont work properly with my car.

I just replaced the boot struts on my ST with Stabilus 630499 and just compared the stats with the Stabilus 017468

Force: 540N vs 515N
Length: 589mm vs 492mm
Stroke: 167mm vs 184mm

So it seems that the stroke is essential for the auto opening?

I have 2015 FR Sc 184 also.
