DV Relcation - anyone got fitting instructions/guide?

theory is - you are using cold air rather than air from around the turbo which is hot.

while on dv relocation subject - how are the people that have done it getting on with it? OK?

I'm actually tempted to whip mine off and see what its like without it. Do some before and after logging.
Seems to increase lag i found tho. Maybe its my imagination. I also found a 'softer' springs works better, i've tried up to a blue one and found the green was the best/.

pabs - if you have chatter, you will want a slightly stiffer spring - NOT the blue one though.
I think it's yellow that the DV doesn't come with - that's what you want to have. - fixed jonah's a treat (that ran DV relocation & similar spec)

i need a new yellow spring too, i think mines fooked.
having a standard map, then non standard then standard now remapped again cant have been good for it, think ill contact forge tomorrow.

won't have made any difference brendy.... not like the car runs max boost all the time.

thats EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE to what bill said to me. I have already upgraded to a stiffer spring - bill says the chatter is the DV not working properly, and so u need a WEAKER spring.....

from what pete has said the dv relocation helped make DV react faster... I have no idea what its gonna do really.

Deffo reacts faster on mine (LCR, DV in stock location but take off moved to cold side) and I'm tempted to reduce the spring stiffness from what I ran in the stock location.
On mine, if I floored it, lifted off then floored it, it would hesitate - that's gone with DV relocation and it definitely reacts faster on gear changes with the relocation - picks up better afterwards.

If by "chatter" you mean what I think you do, I've had the same issue on my Ibiza running the green spring. It was reduced by a refitting the DV the right way around - boost goes in the bottom & vents to the side (not sure how mine got reversed?) and all but eliminated by replacing the green spring with a blue one, courtesy of Martyn for letting me try it and Forge's top-class customer service (email to Richard on Friday, spring arrives FOC on Saturday morning). I suspect that with the rapid rise in boost of Revo, that the manifold pressure applied to the top of the DV is lagging the boost pressure at the bottom and causing the DV piston to lift slightly as it overcomes the preload of the spring - green spring is softer than stock Bosch DV. I'm going to try bypassing the N249 and trying stock DV, green & blue springs at some point to see if the issue is DV-preload related or N249 related.
my DV is the right way around.... it doesnt happen very regularly at all. TBH only when in low revs with foot on the floor, and in a high gear. Ie 20mph, 1.5k revs, flooring it and when i release the gas it does it.
I have spoken to loads of people - m0rk, Bill, others on the forum, revo, forge, and nobody seems to be able to solve the problem.

People, this is a picture of the previous owners relocated DV.
Please confirm, this DV is in REVERSE.... correct?
The side pipe should be connected to the original location, and the base pipe should be connected to the intercooler hose?
Just checking before I fit mine in about 12hrs time
