17 or 18

Hey People, Im looking at getting so 18" Wolfrace Pro Sprint Wheels in Black with Red Trim, but im unsure whether to get 17's and then lower it abit. :confused: What do you think ??? and has anyone got any pictures of there's with 18's and 17's ?? I've got a black 1.6 sx. Many thanks! Mike

im after some 17" or 18" 5 stud alloy wheels to fit my seat leon cupra. I have the original 16" multispoke 5 stud alloy wheels which came off a 1.8 turbo cupra. I am able to swap these for the new alloys as i am slightly short of cash, however might be able to find the cash if the right wheels...

I'm thinking of buying some larger wheels for my X reg Leon 1.8VT. But can't decide between 17" or 18" wheels. Do 18" wheels effect the handling much? I've been told that they can cause the car to tramline, have a much harsher ride and increase the road noise. Is this true? Thanks in advance.
