gearchange

my mk1 fr tdi has what feels like a very notchy gearchange. my car is a 150 fr tdi with a 6 speed box. Ive come from mondeo's and vectra's all pre 2001. The gearchanges on the vectra and mondeo is alot better than that of my leon. I know the leon is a mk4 golf but for a german car surely...
