good deal?

my mate will fit his old Jamex coilies for £150 total is that a good deal?

they still in warranty he says.

I can at least find the right ride height for when i get my LCR in February 2011 this way and buy really good shocks and springs for that then with the knowledge of how much drop I can get away with in my area (speed bumps etc)

I know they not great and they £160-£200 brand new but he will fit them for the £150 too and says it would be £125 without fitting and he wouldn't fit other springs for £25 its cos im buying his.

I have them on my LCR, couldn't tell you if they are a hard ride as my last few cars all had uprated suspension, i get on fine with mine.TBO i couldn't know these coilovers for the price, mine have done 20k now and with regular maintanence, i.e cleaning and oiling the threads they look and feel brand new.

May sure there the ones with the ARB connectors otherwise they won;t fit the LCR.

I would say go for it, you will have good scope to lower your car with these.

Don't think he has an LCR mate by looking at his pics. You should be ok with those coilovers and to be honest for that price you should just go for it. Give them a try and see what you think. I personally find that coilovers and suspension set up's as a whole are a personal taste thing. Some may find certain set up's hard where others don't etc

No I don't have an LCR just a 1.6 but I plan on selling the 1.6 and getting an LCR in February 2011. Sorry for the confusion hope that clears things up.

As for personal prefference, these made me the cheap coilover hater I am today, from going to college everyday in his slammed mk4 golf it was bloody horrible with especially with a full pelt sub in the boot too. :S not nice EVERYDAY! I lived weekends lol

Anyway there are cheap, they are fitted too and as I said it would allow me to judge a good ride height for getting over speed bumps and other obsticals in my area before I get my LCR and make a commitment with springs with a specific drop.

No way! Reverse rake all day long with that drop.

Im about 50-60 at the front, and 45-50 and the back.

Nose down, looks awesome.

Sorry boys Thort I had replied to the thread explaining why I want more drop at the back.

Basically... At the moment the arch to the top of the front wheel is lower then the back so more drop on the back would even things up.
