VZ3 Brake pads
Hello, I'm after a bit of advice regarding brake pad replacement if anyone has done their VZ3: Are the front Brembo calibers 'compression', 'wind in' or ECU controlled? Same question for the rear non-Brembo calipers Are there any decent alternatives to the OEM rears and (i'm assuming) Brembo...

Although they are being called and marketed as Brembo brakes, the actual discs are made by SHW (only the calipers are Brembo) and they retail for £350 per item i.e. --> £750
The original brake pads are pricey but you can get decent pads for --> £70 - £85 (ATE, Zimmermann, Brembo)

As an alternative to the SHW disc you may consider the Zimmermann discs --> £560; I've heard they may be better compared to the SHW discs.
I opted for the following combination:
- DBA 52842 SLVS - 5000 series --> £970
- Hawk HPS 5.0 Performance brake pads HB806x.624 --> $140
An alternative to Hawk pads would be DBA's DB2228XP --> £200
If you insist for original brake pads (not my favourite) then you need to buy PAGID and the cheapest price I have come across is from Killer Brakes --> EUR 176 but inclusive of the wear sensor!!

Yes £ 2 K is a ridiculous price. Considering the above, the parts minimum price would be £ 630 + fitting or £1,170 + fitting.
In my case, fitting cost was EUR 50 for discs and pads together.
