That’s one more option than UK customers, on the top VZ model called Extreme.
There is no option. We have Rebel with Sulphur no matter what colour paintwork you order. Confusingly when I ordered the text said sulphur and the photo showed copper.

No we only have that option too if picking launch editions through the configurators but nothing stops you from doing a custom order but you have to go through a Cupra dealer to put in the order for you. I just checked the price list and picked my options because I wanted the VZ model but I didn't want/need the racing style CUP Bucket seats, the performance tires (I prefer the extra range), the sunroof nor the matte green paint (looks good no doubt when new but matte paint is matte paint...) and I also wanted heat pump and my favorite seats are the standard VZ included ones, Dinamica bucket seats same as Endurance & Endurance Plus launch editions (V1 & V2 or whatever it's called in some countries). The launch editions are slightly discounted as far as package trims goes though but a basic VZ starts from 33,900€ here compared to 36,900€ for the VZ Extreme launch edition.

The custom ordered Raval are being produced from start of September though so means a little extra wait. They probably want to sell the launch editions first so there's not much mention about the ability to custom spec yourself at this point.

If you check Cupra's Raval product catalogue there's even a mention the copper accent Rebel tire option is being produced from September too which fits with the narrative (custom orders being processed only from September onwards), the sulphur Rebel rims are part of the "Ahead" pack that includes the CUP Bucket racing style seats and performance tires which is included in the VZ Extreme launch edition. Heat pump that is offered here also has a mention "available from September week 36"

I'm basically your AMA guy about Cupra Raval at this point knowing as much as a Cupra dealer having questioned about it (poor guy, the email discussion is probably at 50 replies at this point) and studied the product catalogue/price list very carefully as there's some interesting alternatives that requires certain packages etc...

This is where I reckon you loose options if you hold back. They are quite happy to build a fairly large product range at the start then trim back. What happened with the Ateca although I was told they changed the way they sold cars after the initial launch. The other thing I picked up was that your local dealers only got sent the car models that centrally the liason manager thought they would sell in that area (under specced). Comes down to PCP fleets being owned by the company and not the customer although they pretend otherwise. Splash the cash and get what you really want or some predefined model they think will "sell" in the area that might have some money off it. The latter is where after the car is built they got you if you want to add extras to it, if it wasn't built with them. More cunning at that now.

Thanks for all the detail through the Maze of ordering! It’s amazing the ordering system works at all! Not very user friendly and unusual Cupra don’t have a friendly mobile ordering app like most manufacturers.

The whole process of selecting which packages and rims and whatever is very daunting process, I'm glad I don't order cars too often but Cupra hasn't made it very user friendly at all. I have probably wasted like 30 hrs in pondering and asking questions in total before I got to the state I'm now that I've settled on something, at least I'm 95% sure I'll keep it like it is now. I might ask for clarification still if it truly comes with Dinamica seats when there's a note in the finnish price list "standard with VZ until week 35/2026". The word "until" here is a bit worrisome, what happens AFTER week 35 then, dropping to a lower trim seat automatically? My logics says it's just the lumbar support adjustment which gets dropped after that which probably is one of the sneaky launch edition discounts thrown in there as lumbar seat adjustment comes part of the "Rebel" pack too that is available when you custom spec... it's very confusing and it's full of pitfalls like this.

It's not good for my mental health with my decision anxiety that went into this. :ROFLMAO: Who knows what I end up with, perhaps production line goes BRRRR after being hardwired for launch editions and I end up with a half Raval, half ID Polo monstrosity.

Why I wouldn't want to "buy" a new car every three years on a PCP contract. Gluttons for punishment then you get the new car niggles. Probably not suppose to say that 🤣.

It was a northern dealer in the UK that I called into that told me they only get the cars sent to them that their Seat, at the time, area manager (liason guy) knows will sell. Hence they had a limited range. People were not ordering to their spec but what the dealer offered determined by the area manager. Not a lot of money up north. Was catching a ferry to Northern Ireland via Scotland from London taking in the dealers that had a rhodium grey car to check the colour (well just one). Here's a Seat dealer let's look at the colours in their parking lot to judge what it would look like on an Ateca.

It feels that Cupra are using the old model of allowing the customer to mix and match what they want rather than a limited range of options that Seat subsequently moved to. Why I lost interest in buying a Tarraco since in that period from 2016 to 2019 they lobbed off all the options that you could get on an Ateca to a Tarraco, lobbing them off the Ateca as well. Syphon said at the time that's how it is now to my mutterings. Reckon on a new model you have more options but once established the range diminishes as the marketing people decide they know best and sell in packages without the trimmings. Can't get a pizza with everything on it.

I wouldn’t buy the first of any new model of car; IMHO pretty much all new models are likely to have some niggles and teething troubles, and VAG’s recent history with new models hasn’t been good as far niggles (in particular software gremlins) are concerned.

I’m also not prepared to be an unpaid beta tester for VAG - or any other car manufacturer for that matter. VAG new model teething troubles in recent years suggest they’ve not built sufficient time into their project planning process for comprehensive testing to identify and / or fix issues before model launch date, leaving customers to do the testing for them after launch 🤔. I dare say that sadly, this isn’t unique to VAG though.
