09 facelift changes

where still on the lookout for a fr tdi and after a bit of reading we look like going for a post 09 facelift version

excluding the bumpers what else is different to a pre facelift model?

yes it did, main points beside looks as kazand says with the suspension is that it is a much nicer ride, not half as bone shaking and you get XDS as well

Prefacelift is PD170

Facelift is CR170

Rear lights and hatch are different, kazand mentioned the interior, if you have a look and a FL then go to a pre FL you will see the updated centre console, clocks, seats etc. In my opinion, it's a great improvement on a very poor interior BUT in the bigger picture it's still relatively poor compared to a lot of its rivals.

i'll have to keep searching as there doesnt seem to be anything available in my price range, we have upto £12k to spend and want a facelift model ideally with satnav but im not too concerned about that

Loads on autotrader mate, just found a black one with Satnav for 11.5k

12 k, I sold mine for that on a 10 plate with low miles and in showroom condition. Had winter pack, and convenience pack and the optional black 18s so to get one in that price range should be relatively easy.

I will be selling mine later this year although it's just hit 50k on the clock so don't expect it will fetch much.
