I'm rebuilding/replacing bearings on a 0AJ (NBX) 6-speed gearbox from a 2012 SEAT Altea 1.2.
Unfortunately, I’m stuck at the point of pulling the 5/6th gear synchro hub/synchro ring off the Input shaft (above arrows in pic).
The workshop manual indicates specific tools (pictured) - However, similar tools/pullers I have failed under the force applied without budging the synchro hub/synchro ring!?
What am I doing wrong? Is heat required? Has anyone had experience/success in doing this job?
Many thanks,
David
