Hello People!

Looking for a little advice if possible. I have a 2012 1.2 TSI 105 PS.

I bought it from new. with like 7 delivery miles on. I checked the oil today like the book said, allow engine to heat in idle for 5 minutes. Turn off for two minutes and then check it. I made sure I was on flat ground. I've done 5240 miles in the car so is what I found normal?

The oil level was half, if you have the hand book that's point B. so you can leave it or top it up. I want to top it up but I'm like a woman when it comes to this! What oil was in my car? I wan't to put the same oil in. Guessing its some kind of Castrol?

there's so many types of oil! so I'm unsure. I do want to something like castrol in so can someone please advise what the best one is?

Thank you :)

5w30 long life oil, they recommend castrol, but all vag main dealers use quantum oil so it's up to you really

Thank you. I was just on an R32 forum they use 5W30 Long life. They said it shouldn't matter if it was quantum and then Castrol as long as they are both fully synthetic and both the same grade. Which I'm guessing they will be.

Thanks again! :D
