Big pete i saw you talking about insurance.

I pay £2800 a year. All mods declared. And no ncb. 19. On my 1.4 8v. fully comp with tesco. No one else would insure me. For under £5k.

Insurance absoloutely kills me.

 :-o :wtf:

I had only just turned 20 when I got my bora TDI, with 0 ncb, 1100. With mods declared it's still less than 1.5k!

Have you points? And/or live in the worst area of the UK? lol

Clean licence now. I live in an area where theft is quite high and alot of kids driving around in the cars that daddy bought them and then crashing.

I will be looking for a different car. Maybe something faster but also cheaper to insure.

Hearing this i want to whack the for sale sign on the beeza.

I could probably get something alot more grown up as me mum finds it annoying that i keep getting pulled by the old bill.

Ive been looking at other cars but im not sure about how they would cost me insurance wise.

Let alone what id do with my beeza.

Im jealous.

i enjoy the benefits of being a web developer ;) they dont think i hoon it and am the safest driver in the world:cheeky::clown:

we all know i dont tho:cop::runaway:

and the fact theres 5 other cars at mine and im insured on all 5 is a big facter.

oh and the cars insured up to £5500 atm with cover for a £2500 stereo

back on topic

make the car lighter is easier and cheaper and u will see better gains :) then lower it on coilovers get it poly bushed/strut braces/arbs, stick wider /stickyer rubber on light weight alloys.
strip it etc
big brake conversion
after that k and n filter
exhaust (get a mk3 cupra/miltek)

after you have done all of the above think about sticking a bigger lump in it ie1.8t

thats the way to do it mate not just go straight to power!

also learn to drive better that always helps! learning the racing line/heel toe/etc will make you quicker and you will be able to carry so much more speed through corners! and more importantly more speed out of corners.

I get quoted 395.90 for my tdi by elephant with my mum dad and sister on the policy. Get quoted 400 for a 16v. Really doesn't make sense to me. Thats 22, 2 years no claims, lowest risk area you've ever been to.
