It's amazing at the moment, I've not put any fuel in my 1.4 for three weeks and the guage hasn't even moved yet!
same for me, loving the zero traffic longest a tank has lasted me so far. Usually last three weekish, but only lost one bar in two weeksIt's amazing at the moment, I've not put any fuel in my 1.4 for three weeks and the guage hasn't even moved yet!
When do we have to start worrying about fuel going off in the tank...never been sat on drive this longMost of us at this time, are getting 2-3 weeks per gallon. No longer mpg, but wpg (weeks per gallon). Mine is currently just under 3 weeks per gallon, and probably rising. Or for those of you outside UK, if you are like us, perhaps wl/100km, weeks liters per 100km

I know...was jokingYou don't. Forget about it. It's a non-issue.
Going from experience in my petrol lawnmower the fuel goes off after about 6-12 monthsWhen do we have to start worrying about fuel going off in the tank...never been sat on drive this long
and much superior fuel economy both ways, combined with the lower fuel prices, a win win..Not much has changed for me as a 'key worker'
Only i get to work and get home half an hour quicker than usual which is nice.
No idea...I was genuinely joking as I imagine it’s a long time before anything detrimental changed in the chemistry of the fuel...I’ve seen shows where they find old vehicles and mention about water getting in etc. but after years and years stood still...I’m not fuel specialist though so not got a Scooby.Btw, what do people mean by fuel 'going off?' the RON drops? Eg..if you have 95, after half a year or so, you could be seeing RON of 93? Or the engine grumbles/misfire with stale fuel? What do we do if this happens, brim the tank with 97-99RON fuel to compensate?
basically the fuel goes stale due to evaporation and is useless after that, won't workyBtw, what do people mean by fuel 'going off?' the RON drops? Same for me...shame its been on the drive for 4 weeks now without moving. I'm missing driving it .It's amazing at the moment, I've not put any fuel in my 1.4 for three weeks and the guage hasn't even moved yet!
