Hi everyone, today I noticed my car was making a noise I don't remember it making before. It is extremely quiet from inside the car, I could barely hear it with the AC off but once you open the hood it is very noticeable. I have a link to the unlisted video below.

Potentially unrelated (or maybe related), I think the timing chain tensioner is on its way out. On cold starts after a few days, there's a rattling noise for a few seconds. I have read this is normal on a lot of threads and on others it is said it is the timing chain tensioner not tensioning properly until oil pressure builds up, causing the chain to hit the valve cover. I've been planning on changing the timing chain and whatever else in the area but this is my first and only car so I was waiting until I got a motorcycle (in a couple months) to do that.

To be honest I've never paid attention to the idle noise. Under load, the engine sounds fine but today I noticed this noise at idle and not sure if it is normal or not. as far as I can tell, the noise doesn't speed up when I rev it but it is basically impossible to hear it when I rev it anyway.

It is possible this is just how it's meant to sound but I feel like I would've noticed that in the 15k miles I've had the car. It idles at a steady 700-800rpm as it always has.

This is the CAXC engine in case there are different 1.4tsis, I think the MK2 only came with this one though.

Thanks for any help in advance.
