I currently just bought a black 1.4 tsi seat leon, and now i want to make it well, sexy !
i already have just purchased small things such as , wind deflectors, brake calliper paint (red), and a de-badged front grill.
but now im looking at the bigger picture such as a good sounding exhaust system, need advise on this,
Also an induction kit but obviously going to get the k&n specifically made one- any objections why i shouldn't would love to hear,
and i would love the k1 front bumper ...no idea where to start there i have seen a few things on ebay advertised for the mk2 so its possible right ?
any ideas what eles i should consider doing give me hints and tips

thanks all :)

Thanks man , im 19 too btw i couldn't go bigger than this , you a really nice car man , ill get photos up of mine and show everone progression photos , but i nees the ideas coming in :p thanks again :)

i'm 18 so theres plenty of young ones on the forum! I got my leon when i was 17 so really could only have the 1.2TSi. But i've done a fair few things to mine too!

Yeah would think so , its just i have so much in mind what to do with my car , just dont really know how to go about it , such as , i would love the k1 bodykit , but i have questions like where to but it ? .. If it need spraying whete to get it sprayed and where to get it fitted is my main question , another main one is with the exhaust , I want a sport one , improve sound performance ect , no idea where to start , i am new to all this as you all can tell ,
I really appreicate help , tips and letting me look at your rides :) thank you ,:)

Yeah, why dont you look at doing smaller cheap mods to start off ? Like remove the 'L E O N' lettering, fit new brighter whiter bulbs etc. Theres a few threads kicking about on the forums with cheap mods ? A lot of parts eg the BTCC, K1 spoiler and K1 exhaust all came from Seat themselves (which isnt the cheapest method may i add). You could also have a read through alot of 'Readers Rides' and that could give you ideas.

Cheers man , yeh i will be doing all that soon :p, like i have just purchased a debadged black front grill, good idea with removing the leon letters , ill get bulbs sorted out too ,
I should have all this done at latest next weekend ill take pics before and after, thanks man for the tips :)

Your insurance is a good place to start. How much is it going to cost to insure your car with added bodykit, upgraded wheels, new exhaust system etc. if you don't make them aware you might as well have no insurance policy in the first place. Its annoying, yes, i've had to pay £40 for alloys and £40 for window tints, my aftermarket stereo is covered automatically.

I wanted to remap my car but admiral say they won't cover me, so that will have to wait until next march when i renew my insurance.

Aww yeah , Well next march mines renews also 2 years then so hopefully i will be okay ,
Not too bad , ill start off getting into the swing of things with small mods , ill make sure there is lots of photo's to show all my progress, thanks again :)

yeah thanks man , i defenatly have quite a bit to keep me busy , yeah iv just checked your car out am loving it man so nice love the mods , got so much ideas off this already , love this site :)

Just surf the forum and you'll find plenty of threads regarding modifications people have done or are thinking of doing to their cars. You'll get loads of ideas, information, and advice as long as you stick around to the forums.

I'd definitely look into brighter lights (Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs are very good) or aftermarket HIDs if you don't mind installing them. I'd also think about lowering the car since that would give you a better grip and would look much nicer. As C17OFF said, removing the "LEON" letters from the back gives the car a more sporty, mean look, and I am going to have that done on my car either tonight or tomorrow and take pictures.

Have you tinted your windows yet? Your car is black and it'd look awesome with tinted windows. Mine's silver and tinted windows look great on it.

Thanks for the amazing tipz , i was thinking about lowering it because i know it would look aamzing but , how much do i lower it , doesn't lowering it ruin your car at all or is that dumb ,
About the window tints , i should have them in by next week,
Ill take the 'leon' off tonight if not tomorrow,
Thanks again massive help !

Just purchased tail light tint and clear gloss, should be here before the weekend hopefully. Also rear mud-flaps came today (seat badge ones look nice) and brake calliper paint, just need to get a sticker for the calliper (tsi) or something along the lines of that.
Will be getting new lights (bulbs) also , just need to look up what to get.

Welcome plaug3! Another tsi owner here! Is yours a facelift or prefacelift? (59plate onwards or earlier than?)

Re the induction kit , the K&N youve seen is just a filter that replaces the factory one, i couldnt comment on it but its defo no induction kit. Tsi owners are struggling to find one as youll probably read at some point.

Re k1 kit, if its facelift, go to the dealers. If not, ebay or gumtree. Just keep your eyes peeled everywhere.

Good luck on the car, one little tip, BE BRAVE! YOU WILL GO FAR!!!

haha yeah thanks, its a 08 so what does that mean sorry for sounding dumb,
so should i not go for that k&n one , its like £180, i really want a nice sounding one :(

I wouldn't touch the k&n 'induction kit' (i use the term loosely) - I'm waiting to here back from APR who have a Twincharge induction kit for the 1.4TSI golf (http://www.goapr.co.uk/products/intake_vwr_14tsi_twin_trans_vaga5.html)
Currently in contact with a sales person who has been trying to find out whether this fits the 1.4TSI Leon. If he says its unknown if it fits or not he said that my vehicle could be used to test it! Ill let you know how it goes. Slow process

Thanks man that would be great, okay keep me posted with your progress. hopefully all goes well.
