1.4s engine upgrade, help needed.

Currently I have a 1.4 16v MK1 Leon done 143,000 miles, what would be better to do. Upgrade the engine to a 1.6 if possible or just buy a 1.6.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Buy the 1.6 I think. Anything you still want from the 1.4, bar the engine of course, just take off and put on the 1.6 if you can. I say this as I don't think its as simple as taking the 1.4 out and putting the 1.6 in, I'm not sure the ecu's are the same. Plus there are also 2 types of 1.6 engine.

Yeah would be a faf for a 1.4 only point would be for a 1.8t lump but still a lot of faf! as kris said get a 1.6 (if thats what you want) and transfer stuff over
