I'm averaging about 41mpg based on calculations from full-full fill-ups. However I do about 9 miles to and from work, so the economy will be bad. Recently did a run to Canterbury with 4 of us in the car and averaging about 75mph, returned 48mpg from the run which probably would have been higher with less people (weight) in the car.
Loving the torque the 2.0 gives, but if you use the power for fun the fuel gauge does drop fairly quickly. Like DellaFR, I stopped worrying about the mpg and enjoy the car.

) yes you did read it right! I did a pass plus course last week and did 250+ miles that day and with smooth careful driving by my pupil, the FR was doing 69.7mpg. I too dont worry about the mpg as it is good, but the car is just great to drive and work in!
