Recently picked up a Leon Cupra MK1, previously i had a Toledo 1.8T for many years. Whilst they are similar they are definitely different (despite same engine, gearbox and same listed output etc).

The Leon definitely pulls stronger through the gears, I was wondering how much variation there might be on these units out of the factory? I wondered if my Toledo had been perhaps a little down on power at say 175bhp and this one up a little at 185 for example?

192! F:censored: me, thats some difference from stated output, sounds like my theory might be right perhaps. Once the turbo spools up in the Leon it really flies :D, unless its been remapped by previous owner (really dont think so though, whole thing is completely std and mostly serviced by Seat from looks of things - which is why i bought it!)

Hi all this looks like a good place to post this. I had my standard cupra 180 AUQ on the dyno today for the first time and it made.
Engine power 178.bhp
Wheel output. 131.5 bhp
drag output. 46.5 bhp
Max power at 118 mph or 6230rpm

Torque 161 1bf-ft
Max torque at 62 mph or 3260 rpm

as you guys had yours dyno run standard also i was wonderin if these figures looked ok cheers.

those figures look good to me.. bo
i remember back in the day i bought a 172 clio first year of manufacture.
had it on the rollers and it only made 157bhp just couldnt get my head round it at the time...gutted. now i understand why
fitted exhaust, induction and superchip and it made 179bhp.. n/a isnt the way forward for tuning unless you add throttle bodies.... bbbwwwwaaarpppp
